HR/People Business Partner, Benelux/hybride, 32-40 uur p/w

Do you want to be part of something big? Our international client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner for their Benelux Region to make a positive impact across the Midway attractions in the Netherlands and Belgium, based at one of their attractions in Amsterdam, Leidschendam or Scheveningen with flexible working arrangements.

Working with a diverse portfolio of brands for this client’s ‘Midway’ division such as SEA LIFE, The Dungeons and LEGO Discovery Centres. You’ll cover 8 attractions based in Amsterdam, Scheveningen, Leidschendam (in The Netherlands), Blankenberge and Brussels (in Belgium), so an amazing role for you to make a big difference!

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional HR Business Partner in London, you will provide people advice, guidance and support to their General Managers, attraction Management Teams and Front-line team members. You’ll lead, engage, and enable them to deliver the attraction business plan, drive HR KPI’s, support in managing staffing budgets and man-power planning and advise on employee relations issues according to Dutch and Belgium labor law. This is an exciting new role for the Benelux Region and a standalone role for these markets (however you will have support from the Regional HR Business Partner). As this role is part of the wider Midway Europe HR Team, so you will be part of a group of HR peers across the wider Europe region.

This is a broad and demanding generalist HR role where you’ll need to adapt your approach to diverse business needs. You’ll handle employee relations and legal matters, evaluate training and development needs, co-ordinate senior recruitment and act as a central point of contact for advice and guidance for the management team of your 8 attractions.

You will champion initiatives in their People Strategy that will shape their HR processes across the division, identifying and implementing change and empowering those around you to deliver exceptional HR practices. These include Engagement, Reward, ‘Force for Good’ and Diversity and Inclusion all with the focus on making this client the very best place in the world to work at and visit their attractions.

The is a full-time permanent role, predominantly working Monday to Friday. There will be regular travel throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, so a flexible approach and willingness to travel is essential.

About You

You are not new to the world of HR/People leadership and along with a proven generalist HR background as an HR of People Business Partner (ideally with multi-site experience) in a commercially focused, fast paced environment and a relevant professional HR qualification, you’ll bring exceptional leadership skills and a highly motivated team orientated approach. This will be matched with operational experience, a genuine interest in their brands and a sound understanding of working within a commercial environment.

The ability to communicate effectively (Dutch is essential, English of course and French would be a definite plus) with stakeholders at all levels will also be highly valued as will the ability to take tough business decisions and sensitively handle people issues. Most importantly you won’t be afraid to roll your sleeves up and get on with it!

The Perks
This client is offering a competitive annual gross salary (€ 45k to € 55k) depending on relevant working HR experience and complete education; as well as some great additional company benefits. You’ll benefit from 25 days holiday per year (this is exclusive of public holidays), 25% discount in their retail shops and restaurants, a Personal Pension Plan, Employee Assistance Programme and of course a complete travel allowance (as this position doesn’t provide a company/lease car). You’ll also get your hands on a client’s Magic Pass – giving you free tickets to their attractions across the globe!

But perhaps the biggest benefit is joining an exciting and diverse division for you to get your HR teeth into, giving you loads of opportunities to make a difference and grow your career.

Should you be successful in your application, interviews may be conducted initially via phone or video call. If requested to attend one of their attractions for a face-to-face interview, we have hygiene and safety measures in place, and you will be asked to adhere to these.
